Bu ba\u011flamda \u00f6zellikle ba\u011f\u0131rsaklar \u2014yani &#8220;ikinci beyin&#8221; olarak an\u0131lan enterik sinir sistemi\u2014 bilim d\u00fcnyas\u0131n\u0131n dikkatini \u00e7ekmektedir (Gershon, 1998).<br>V\u00fccudumuzdaki serotonin hormonunun yakla\u015f\u0131k %90\u2019\u0131n\u0131n ba\u011f\u0131rsaklarda \u00fcretildi\u011fi bilinirken, ba\u011f\u0131rsak mikrobiyotas\u0131n\u0131n da beyinle \u00e7ift y\u00f6nl\u00fc ileti\u015fim kurdu\u011fu g\u00f6sterilmi\u015ftir (Yano et al., 2015). Bu ileti\u015fim hatt\u0131, &#8220;ba\u011f\u0131rsak-beyin ekseni&#8221; olarak adland\u0131r\u0131l\u0131r ve ruh hali, stres y\u00f6netimi, hatta depresyon gibi durumlar \u00fczerinde belirleyici rol oynayabilir (Cryan et al., 2019).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Bu yaz\u0131da, ba\u011f\u0131rsaklar\u0131n sinir sistemiyle nas\u0131l ileti\u015fim kurdu\u011funu, mikrobiyotan\u0131n ruh halimizle ili\u015fkisini ve depresyonun fizyolojik y\u00f6nlerini bilimsel verilerle birlikte inceleyece\u011fiz.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Ba\u011f\u0131rsaklar Neden \u201c\u0130kinci Beyin\u201d Olarak An\u0131l\u0131r?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Ba\u011f\u0131rsaklara &#8220;ikinci beyin&#8221; denmesinin temel nedeni, sahip oldu\u011fu **enterik sinir sistemi (ENS)**dir. Bu sistem, yakla\u015f\u0131k&nbsp;<strong>100 milyon sinir h\u00fccresi<\/strong>&nbsp;i\u00e7erir; bu say\u0131, omurilikteki n\u00f6ron say\u0131s\u0131na yak\u0131nd\u0131r (Gershon, 1998). ENS, sindirimi d\u00fczenlemenin \u00f6tesinde, merkezi sinir sistemiyle ba\u011f\u0131ms\u0131z olarak \u00e7al\u0131\u015fabilme kapasitesine sahiptir.
